WoodFree Crating is a privately held manufacturing company with headquarters in Waterbury CT and a sister company in Paris France. WoodFree started operations in 2003 having initially started with the patented eco-friendly WoodFree J-Crate to compete with heavy duty wood crating. Since that time, WoodFree has developed into a packaging technology company having designed unique products as a result of fulfilling existing customer requirements. Other patented eco-friendly products include:
• Quick-Pack -bulk-bin top loading crate that pops up quickly w/ attached Woodfree skid
• Suspension Pack - UPS size boxes w/ internal laminate that eliminates the use of internal foam, peanuts, and bubble wrap.
• PleatWrap - paper packaging void-fill / wrap that replaces bubble wrap.
• WoodFree Pallet – Full functionality pallet for LTL & trailer load shipments
WoodFree can claim a number of Fortune 50 companies in the Aerospace, Medical, Renewable Energy, and High-tech companies as part of its client base: Lockheed Martin, Walmart, Johnson & Johnson, Duracell, and many others large and small.
WoodFree’s design capabilities using environmentally friendly materials and providing these products at advantageous pricing has resulted in considerable company growth. WoodFree is currently expanding satellite offices on the West Coast and extending distribution into Europe.
