I would like to take this opportunity to highly recommend WoodFree Crating.

As an importer of industrial equipment we have been faced with the issue of properly packaging our equipment for shipment throughout North America. In the past we used a local crating company to manufacture custom wooden crates for each piece of equipment. This was an expansive and time consuming task. While they wee sturdy, customers often baulked at the price.

At first, Ryan, my shipping/receiving manager was resistant to trusting heavy, sensitive equipment to a simple cardboard box, We have now shipped equipment for a year without damage using the WoodFree product and Ryan is convinced about both the reliability and the product and the ease of assembly.

The main advantages I have seen in my business are:

1) Timeliness: Orders arrive within a few days of being placed.
2) Cost: The physical cost for the crates are less than half that of a traditional crate. This allows us to take a reasonable mark-up on the product without upsetting our customers.
3) Assembly: We have cut the typical assembly and packing times from 4-8 hours down to 2-4 hours per system.
4) Portability: These are easy to move and assemble. Our largest crate is 72”x72”x96”. Consider mobbing this much wood around by hand and assembling it. It is a 2 person job. Now we can do it with one person.
5) Storage: We can buy multiple systems and they simply stack-up.
6) Service: WoodFree was very careful to determine our exact needs and is and is responsive to last minute changes.
7) Re-use: Unlike traditional crates that are frequently destroyed during the disassembly process, this product can be folded up and reused at will.
8) Disposal: Crates and skids take up huge room in dumpsters. This product can be cut down and disposed of easily.
9) Gross Weight: This product costs less to ship.

I highly recommend this product to anyone using traditional crates and skids.
